New Year's Eve Safari
We just got this picture. It was taken at our stake New Year's Eve dance. It was a safari theme, hence all the spots and stripes. We had a fun time. In case you can't tell Brittany is in the top row, left, and her roommate Becca is center, with their friend Ryan on the right. Colby and Jim are on the front row. They all put their shoes under the Christmas tree on New Years Eve for the New Year's baby. It was a fun dance and a fun night to have them all here. (The dance was my first official function as the stake activites chairman, we were so tired by the end of the night after putting up all the decorations and then taking them all down!)

Our Busy President's Weekend
To start off our holiday weekend we got to go to Rexburg and see little Grace Gwen Barney. She is so cute as you can see below. We enjoyed spending a little time with her and her mommy and daddy Friday. She was born around 7 am on February 15th. She was 20 inches long and weighed 8 lbs and 1 ounce. We have been to see her twice now and she has slept both times we were there so guess we will just have to go see her again soon! Her mom says she is doing great. The doctor told them she would weigh in around 7 lbs so they were surprised she weighed more than eight pounds. We are so happy Grace is here and that all went well for her and her mommy during labor and delivery.
Welcome to our family Gracie.
Welcome to our family Gracie.
Our Busy Weekend continued....
We spent three days in West Yellowstone to celebrate President's Holiday. Those who were with us were: Meredith, Saria, Easton, Brittany, Colby, Jim, Russell and myself. We got to W. Y. around 2 pm on Saturday, Feb. 16th and came home today, Feb. 18th. We rented cross country skis and had a great time going cross country skiing. Saria was awesome and went along with us with not a complaint. Easton did okay for a little while and then was done. That is a work out for sure. It was fun to be together for couple of days. We stayed in the World Mark Resort that is in W. Y. If you have never been to West Yellowstone in the winter let me tell you it is snow machine heaven, (if you are a snow mobiler!) There were hundreds of snow machines there, it was crazy!!!!!! Anyway, we had alot of fun!

California Here They Come!
Congrats to Royce and AubRee. They are on their way to Southern California College of Optometry this fall. It is the school they have really been wanting to get accepted to and Royce found out today he is in. Lucky for us because it is only about 10 miles from Disneyland and not really far from the beach. We will have fun going to visit them! Now they just need do get their baby here and they will be ready to go. Royce will graduate in April and then they are going to move to Washington and work on the farm with AubRee's family for the summer. How exciting for them to see some big changes on the horizon! Way to go you two!!!!!

A Loving Goodbye
After watching the funeral today of President Gordon B Hinckley I realized what an impact he has had on my life as well as the lives of my family members. He is the only prophet that Brittany and Colby remember. He has been so important to us for many reasons. One being his example and expression of love for each of us. He often reminded us of the love our Heavenly Father has for us and that is a priceless thing to know and believe. He was often in our prayers as we supported him as our prophet and the president of our church. His example of love for his wife, Sister Hinckley, was something to learn from and follow in our own lives. The list of all the good he did while here on the earth is endless, he was a wonderful man. Thank you President Hinckley for all the good you did for us. You will be lovingly remembered.

Just Look At Our Snow!!!!
Here is an example of the snow we have been recieving the past few days. This first picture is from Christmas 2007, ( a month ago), and the next picture was taken today. That cute guitar playing snowman has completely been covered up by falling snow, and snow Russell has blown off the sidewalks and driveway over the past couple of weeks.
