Our Baby Is All Grown Up!
We are a bit melancholy today at the Barney house. Not only has all our company left that were here for the holidays, but our baby also left today for college. All I can say is that it is a good thing Brittany is going to be home with us or we would really have a quiet place. There were a few tears all around as Russell gave Colby a father's blessing just before she loaded in her car and drove to Rexburg for school. We are planning on going over tomorrow and bringing anything she left, and meet her roommates and take her out to dinner but it is still a sad day for us! I think she was excited though so that is good. Thank goodness she will only be one hour away, I guess we will survive.

Yours are gone, and mine are just beginning. Isn't that strange? I'm sure she'll be home every weekend to visit - she's not too far away.
I cannot believe that she is at college! That is amazing! She is such a cutie...and it will be good for her to keep her mind occupied...on things other than Jim-bo! I'm glad that you have Britt around too. Our house seems so empty sometimes, it is strange! Having your kids grow up is nice, and yet sad. A Bittersweet thing!!!
To me, Colby should still be a little girl running around with a tool belt on, following her DAddy! What a lovely young lady she has grown up to be! SHE HAD TWO GREAT OLDER SISTERS TO LEAD THE WAY! I does seem hard when they leave but it is nice when they come back for a visit! Glaed Britt is there to keep you company!
